Why a gynaecologist?
Mr Brady is often asked this question. His interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology began at medical school, especially that of pre-malignant disease of the cervix and cervical screening. This interest has shaped his entire career.
Mr Brady quotes: “Even before qualification I was struck by the inequality of heath care provision to women. I thought I could make a real difference to the lives of women by becoming a Gynaecologist. Although I may have succeeded to some degree; very sadly these inequalities are still all to prevalent for many women, especially help with pain and endometriosis, menstrual disorders and the menopause. Much still to do…”
